Located in downtown Talkeetna, a few hours north of Anchorage, the gallery is housed in a cozy log cabin, a nod to Alaska’s rural charm and rich history. Conveniently situated adjacent to Talkeetna Village Park, the Aurora Dora Gallery is the perfect place to shop for gifts, ask questions about photography, or simply take in the stunning night sky and aurora borealis images shot by Dora herself.
During the summer months, the Aurora Dora Gallery is open daily. When fall and winter arrive, Dora’s focus is on night photography and sleep, so the gallery’s hours shift to most Fridays through Sundays, or by appointment. Visiting Talkeetna? Call Dora! (907) 841-5620.

Her shop in Talkeetna is so beautiful and she is so knowledgeable about everything aurora / northern lights related! She remembers every single story and detail about all of her photos, and it’s amazing hearing all of them when she shows you around her gallery. She also offers free shipping on purchases which is amazing and makes sure your artwork gets home safely and doesn’t take up room in luggage!
When we had free time in Talkeetna, we went to her studio to pick up one of her prints. The only problem we had was selecting just one of her marvelous pieces of art. We settled on "Talkeetna Aurora & Milky Way". It gave us everything we wanted. We recommend her work to anyone who wants to see the real Alaska.
Amazing gallery in pretty Talkeetna, AK. We were there in early June 2023 to catch the train to Denali. We became familiar with her work by our tour director. In the shop, we got to meet her and see more of her spectacular photographs.
We bought a few of her DVDs of the Northern Lights set to calming music in the background and some of her amazing earrings. Aurora Dora Redman is a friendly, down to earth and talented photographer. Definitely worth with the stop!
