Join us for a Northern Lights Photography Retreat featuring a chance to experience breathtaking night photography, build lifelong connections, expand your knowledge, and hopefully witness the stunning Aurora Borealis. This event is hosted by Aurora Dora Photography and the Talkeetna Alaskan Lodge.
April 6th to 7th, 2024 in Talkeetna, Alaska.
Includes:
- Instructions and guidance from Aurora Dora
- One-night stay in a beautiful Mountain View Room at the Talkeetna Alaskan Lodge (Let me know if you would like to stay extra nights)
- Meet and greet to socialize with the other photographers/attendees.
- Group Dinner (meal cost not included)
- Night Photography Session with an Exclusive Viewing Deck
- Northern Lights Post Processing Session (Lightroom Classic)
- Maximum of 8 attendees
Not Included:
- Transportation to and during the retreat
(Self-driving or carpooling could be an option if we decide to photograph from another one of Aurora Dora's preferred Talkeetna locations.)
Basic equipment needed: A DSLR or mirrorless camera (I recommend bringing extra batteries); wide-angle lens (aperture 2.8 or lower); Sturdy tripod; cable release and headlamp.
Participants should have a grasp of their camera and camera settings (aperture, shutter speed, and ISO).
It's Alaska, so assume the outside part of the workshop night will be cold. Please dress in warm, layered clothing.
Lightroom Classic will be used for the post-processing part of the workshop.
Cost $640 per participant. Spouses interested in attending the photography and/or post-processing sessions must register as participants for an additional $640.
In the event that Aurora Dora Photography cancels for reasons within her control, you will be refunded.
In case you are unable to attend the workshop, please note that we do not offer any refunds, credits, or transfers of any deposits, workshop fees, or other related costs. However, you have the option to sell or transfer your spot to someone else and receive a refund, with a deduction of a $200.00 administration fee, provided that Aurora Dora Photography receives full payment from the new participant. It is important to understand that the terms and conditions of this agreement will be applicable to the new participant.
