SEDONA, ARIZONA – JULY 5th, 2019

Learn how to capture the night sky and the Milky Way in a Dark Sky Community with dramatic views of the Red Rocks and the Arizona’s high desert.

Our workshops are designed for both amateur and professional photographers. However, participants should have a working understanding of their cameras’ settings.

We will meet at the Sedona Aurora Dora Photography Gallery located at 320 N State Route 89A, Suite P2. We will start inside with some introductions and basic settings for low light and night photography, before going out for a couple of hours to learn and practice the techniques in the field. The shooting portion will take part 5 to 10 miles away from the gallery.

Basic equipment needed: DSLR or Mirrorless Camera; Wide Angle Lens, f/2.8 or faster; Sturdy Tripod; Cable Release and Headlamp (must include a red light).

Class size is limited - spouses must register as a participant if interested in attending.

Registration and payment are necessary to reserve your space and is nonrefundable. Weather is an uncontrollable factor with night sky photography. Regardless of the conditions we will stay out and shoot as long as it is safe to do so. Clouds play a significant role while capturing the night sky. However, even during completely overcast conditions, I promise you will come away with beautiful images, knowledge, and capabilities of capturing the night sky.

Be sure you can attend the workshop scheduled date, we do not reschedule attendees.
